Dust mites thrive on eating human skin and wherever there is a collection of skin cells you can find Dust Mites. The allergen comes from the fact that the Dust Mites do not have stomaches and the digestion occurs on the outside of their bodies. Their fecal matter and their bodies are a major cause of allergens, rhinitis, conjunctivitis and dermatitis. The habitat of a Dust Mite is in our homes and primarily in our sleeping areas. That can be found in our pillows, blankets, comforters, bed sheets and within our mattresses.
